Do I Need a Language Assessment Exam?

Although this requirement is not included in the list of required documents when applying for a Canadian Study Permit, it is also a good idea if you have it, just in case.
Do I Need A Visa?
As an international student who is not a national of visa-exempt countries, to be able to enter Canada for the study you must possess a study permit issued by the Canadian government. Depending on the duration of your program or study. A study or program that is less than six months does not require a study permit.
Required Documents For Student Visa Application
- Completed application form
- Acceptance letter from the University of choice
- A valid passport
- Two recent passport size photographs

What Happens After My Visa Expires In Canada?
Like in most countries it is illegal to remain in Canada after the expiration of your visa. Technically speaking if your visa expires like a month ago, you can still apply for reinstatement or extension from the proper authorities, as long as your visa expiry is still within the threshold of 90 days. You can not apply for an extension from Canada after 90 days of your visa expiration.
If your application for extension is declined, you will have to leave Canada and reapply for re-entry into Canada from your country of abode. Ensure you don’t forget when your documents expire, it is your responsibility.
