Vermont regional passport office just like others in the United States requires you to book an appointment prior to your visit. And you are also required to bring along proof of citizenship and other requirements.

You can get emergency service and will be able to pick up your passport at the regional passport agency. If your departure is farther out, your completed passport will be sent to you within 8 business days.

The Vermont Passport Agency is located in Vermont, And you will require an appointment for your visit especially in regional offices. To make an appointment, call the National Passport Information Center at 1-877-487-2778. You can do so 24 hours a day. The normal processing time takes about 4 to 6 weeks but expedited processing takes between 2-3weeks.

Please note: With the Lockdown and pandemic easing, the whole world especially in the US, passport offices have reopened and you can start submitting your applications and visiting for any passport issues.

However, except for a life-or-death emergency, you will experience delays before receiving your passport and the return of your citizenship documents such as; previous passports, and birth and naturalization certificates.

Additional Information

If you are a parent or a Guardian applying for a child under 16, both parents and children must be present to apply. You are also required to submit documentation that shows the parental relationship to that of the child applying for a passport.
