Are you a gay or lesbian or any other category of the LGBTQ2 community? Do you live in fear of your life in your own country? Do you feel vulnerable and will like to find a safe haven to live and prosper as you should?
Then Canada is the destination for you. Canada has a history of providing a safe haven for those who are vulnerable. Canada has opened its arms to the LGBTQ2 community by providing a type of sponsorship to allow them to find refuge in Canada.
To qualify for same-sex sponsorship to come to Canada, you must have been persecuted for your sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or HIV status in your country.
If you live in any of the countries that do not still support the LGBTQ2 community, and this has made life difficult for you to live, Canada has a few ways to help someone like you.
One of the ways is by providing funding through the Rainbow Refuge Society. This society works with sponsorship agreement holders to sponsor LGBTQ2 refugees to come to Canada for safety.
In the previous years, only about 15 people who are fleeing persecution have been allowed into Canada each year under the Rainbow Refugee Assistance Partnership, but on June 8, 2019, the Canadian Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen made an announcement that the number will be increased to about 50 LGBTQ2 refugees each year to start off Pride Month in Toronto, Canada.
Prior to the announcement on June 8, 2019, the Canada LGBTTQQIAAP Refugee Sponsorship Program, a partnership between the federal government and the Rainbow Refugee Society, had been in a pilot phase since 2011.
This partnership sees local groups support newcomers when they arrive in Canada, with the federal government providing three months of financial assistance and startup costs.
More than 80 LGBTQ2 refugees have been resettled in Canada under the program with the Canadian federal government has contributed over $800,000 to the program.
If you are part of the LGBTQ2 and will want to immigrate to Canada, this could be an opportunity for you. Take advantage of the Canada LGBTQ2 Refugee Sponsorship Program today. To stand a chance among others as you, hire competent and experienced immigration professionals to process your application.
